Implementation of Presidential Decree № PQ-60

The implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № PQ-60 "On Additional Measures to Ensure the Academic and Organizational-Managerial Independence of State Higher Education Institutions" has been managed.

As part of this implementation, the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has recommended Minister of Justice R.Q. Davletov to serve as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Tashkent State University of Law.

University Council Overview

The Council of the Tashkent State University of Law (hereinafter referred to as the university) is the permanent supreme body of the university. The Council, being a collegial body of the university, makes a collegial decision on the main issues related to organizational and managerial, educational and methodological, scientific and innovative, spiritual as well as financial and economic activities of the University.

Council Composition:

The Council includes vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments (academic), heads of other departments, leading professors and other employees. Representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, and other interested organizations may also be included.

Main Powers of the Council
  • Approval of the work plan of the University and the Council
  • Approval of test subjects for admission to bachelor's and master's degrees
  • Approval of the reports of the University Admissions Committee
  • Approval of qualification requirements and curricula
  • Setting tuition fees and admission parameters
  • Approval of master's theses topics and graduation works

The Board of Governors at TSUL plays an essential role in overseeing the university's strategic direction, financial health, and long-term sustainability. The board consists of representatives from government, industry, and community organizations.
